Jeff Miller serves as the Managing Director of Grape Expectations, Inc., one of the West Coast’s longest continually family-owned-and-operated wine companies, founded in 1975. Over the last two years, Jeff has reorganized Grape Expectations into a vertically integrated wine firm consisting of four distinct business units: a compressed-margin national import arm; a group of three independent wine distribution companies operating in California, Washington, and Oregon; a communication-first 3PL service focused on regional retail chains, importers, and domestic wineries; and a group of four brick-and-mortar retail stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. During this transition, the company has been able to double both revenue and net profit while maintaining its family-owned identity. Jeff’s contagious enthusiasm for authentic and creative content as a tool to drive sales is well-known through our industry, and he has recently become bullish about the use of technology as a tool for smart scaling. He resides on Vashon Island, Washington with his wife and two sons.
